What happens here

Worship, learning and care for families across our three communities.

All programmes

The masjid

Five daily prayers, Jumu'ah, Ramadan programmes and gatherings. People also come here for religious guidance and to meet the community.

Orphans and vulnerable children

20 children live at the centre. We cover their accommodation, daily meals, school uniforms, transport, tuition and Islamic education.

Feeding and food security

Monthly Zakat food hampers, Ramadan parcels, Qurbani meat, community meals and emergency food for families going through hardship.

  • Afternoon madressah

About 35 children come after school to learn Qur'an, Fiqh, Islamic manners and the basics of their deen.

  • Little Bears Nursery School

A nursery that charges no fees, for about 25 children aged 3 to 5. Parents get a safe, supervised place for their children during the day.

  • Da'wah and new Muslims

New Muslim men and women attend classes, discussions and one to one support as they learn the fundamentals of Islam and settle into the community. About 50 new Muslim women take part today.

  • Community garden

Volunteers from the community grow vegetables together and learn how to produce their own food.
